Wheel of Fortune!

While most kids are obsessed with Mickey Mouse or some other cartoon, my son's favorite show happens to be...

Photobucket

Sure, he likes the occasional cartoon like Curious George or Super Why, but nothing captures his attention like Wheel of Fortune. We make sure to watch it every evening, and Shepard gets so excited and runs to the TV when he hears it start. He loves to repeat the letters, cheer for the contestants, mimic the bankrupt sound. It is precious!

Here's Wheel's Biggest Fan!

Christmas '10 - Part 3

We had our final Christmas celebration with Joshua's immediate family on the Tuesday after Christmas. We saved this Christmas celebration until Matt and Courtney could be here from Arizona. A few pictures:

Getting the hang of opening gifts
Firetruck!
Pillows for Pops and Gram
Pops and Gram loved their grandparent sign!
Joshua's new running gear!
Shepard received lots of great books!
And a mat for his cars

Christmas '10 - Part 2

We had Christmas in Sulphur Springs on the Monday after Christmas. It's always fun to get together with all of Joshua's extended family. Here are a few pictures:

Shepard loved the firestation set from Uncle Scott and Aunt Amy
Pajamas
There's a story behind this "gift." This is a cloth diaper wetbag (used for storing wet/dirty cloth diapers until you get home. I sent it with Gram when Shepard stayed the night over Thanksgiving. It was lost after that, and I've been without a traveling wetbag (meaning I had to not use cloth diapers on outings outside the house. It was found at Grammy's house. I was really excited to have it back! I need to invest in another bag!)
Every couple received a love glove set from an anonymous giver
Photo album from Aunt Connie
Another gift with a story. These "belt/scarf/whatevers" have been going around the Johnson family for several years now. They get regifted every so often, and this year it was decided that our newest member of the family should receive them. This is what Matt used them for - karate gear!
Papa opening the Love Gloves. I love these pictures because it is so hard to get a picture of the man smiling!

Christmas '10 - Part 1

We had a fabulous Christmas this year! Shepard was completely spoiled and really got into the idea of opening gifts (although he wanted to play with each thing in between gifts). He loved Christmas, and still points to where our tree used to be and says "kiss-mas tree?" We keep having to tell him that the Christmas tree went bye-bye until next year.

Here are a few pictures from Christmas Eve when we each opened one present:
Shepard opened a firetruck
I gave Joshua a Cuisinart Keurig. He was pretty excited!
My big gift this year was a Kindle!
Dad gave Mom and ugly lamp - HA! At least he tried.
Dad opened a tarp from my Mom. Long time running inside joke, but my Dad owns thousands of tarps. He was ecstatic about getting a new one - LOL!

And Christmas morning:
More cars! Yay!
Meme and Papa bought Shepard a shopping cart. It was a huge hit!
Coffee for the Keurig
Meme and Papa loved their grandparent sign!
Joshua got lots of new pajama pants.
We bought Mom some new pretty shirts
Daddy helped Shepard open another gift. What could it be?
Let's let Papa and Daddy put it together
While Meme and Shepard play with the iphone
It's a rocking horse! So fun!
More presents:
And Shepard opened his "big" gift - a Lego Duplo train!
